What can I expect when I see a chiropractor

Do I need to speak to my doctor before visiting a chiropractor?
There is no need to tell your GP that you are seeing a chiropractor unless you want to.
What should I wear for my treatment?
Whatever you feel comfortable wearing (some patients decide to change into shorts) bearing in mind that you may be asked to remove some of your clothing during your treatment. If you are uncomfortable about this, you will have privacy to change into a gown to wear.
How many visits will I require
Each patient is an individual and will respond accordingly. Some of the factors that will effect the speed of your response are :
- Your condition
- How severe it is
- How long you have had the condition
- How you follow your chiropractor’s advice
Will chiropractic treatment hurt?
Some patients experience temporary aches and pains during and after the treatment. This is nothing to worry about and perfectly normal.
